"Lines" is generally what T.U. calls those texts, usually one or two words to a line, that over the years have appeared either on his rice-paper paintings or have been used as projected-on-a-screen texts, above and behind the band, for performances with Clinch. The material often seems to cross-reference either music or philosophy with athletic activity.
Examples of some Lines
"Off-lines" are sort of core samplings of some of the above-mentioned Lines, specifically music-related texts, that are then used for improvisational play with performances or recordings with Clinch. The Lines and Off-lines used for the recording of "Dice, Done" were published in the book "Terninger, tonefald: 12 Lines, 36 Off-lines" (Bebop, 2004).
